On the local scene, a field of 13
starters will battle it out in round two of the Coates Trial Series,
to be run in the Glencoe area on Saturday night under the direction
of Peter Becker. A number of crews have navigators experiencing
rallying for the first time. Long time competitor Bob Brown will
pair with Sarah Hargreaves. Mick Cooper has Brenton Kemp aboard his trusty Datsun
Bluebird. Junior motorkhana driver Darren Harris will swap seats and
navigate for Kevin Raedel in a Galant, and club champion Jason Sims
will have Bev Shute in the navigators’ seat for the first time.

to rallying after a lengthy break with partner Dee Telford also
making a return to navigating. Smith will be driving his potent
Commodore which is producing some 400hp and doubt will be of
interest at the spectator points. Another notable entry is Kym
Barclay and Kevin Millard from Heywood who have entered in the ex-Heenan

their first outright. Aaron Bowering/Nathan Lowe will also be on the
pace in a Datsun Stanza, and also in a Stanza is Ross Shepherd/Ken
Moore. Daryl Brown will once again travel from Melbourne to compete
