Observation Run - 30th Mar 2008

The scheduled Observation Run was held and won by Geoff and Elizabeth Wilson. Obviously their ‘maturity’ helped in answering all the various car model questions. Although it was reasonably cool on the day most of the rain stayed away. It was disappointing to have so few take part. These events are for families and those who don’t participate in the competitive side of our sport and yet they were generally absent on the day. From a directors point of view one wonders why you would bother to spend the time and fuel organising such an event.  It’s interesting that the Vintage and Veteran Car Club recently had an enjoyable run to Halls Gap. They used the exact route and instructions that we used three years ago and thought it was great, yet our members generally can’t be bothered.
