UPCOMING EVENTS

Navigators School - Aug 9th
On Saturday, August the 9th there will be a Navigators School held for anyone interested in learning about how to become a trials/rally navigator. The school is not restricted to club members; rather anyone with an interest in learning about our sport is welcome to come along. The sessions will be aimed at those with no or very limited experience. The school will include points on…

      Paperwork and organisation
Safety in the car
Accident procedures
A-B and A-A timing

      Control and observation boards
Different types of mapping
Other bits and pieces.

Persons wishing to come along need to bring along a pencil and something to write on, some biscuits or cake to share and a driver with car to use for a short practical exercise. A donation of $2 is required to cover those wishing to have some tea or coffee.

The navigator’s school will be run free of charge and will be held at the Mil Lel Primary School. We will be starting at exactly 7:00 pm. It is vital that you register your interest so that materials can be prepared. If you want to come along or know someone who is keen to start rallying, then please email: beaker@internode.on.net or phone Adam on 0417 844 183 to register. Hopefully this can become an annual event if enough interest is shown. REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL

Touring Road Event
On July 13th we have a touring road event scheduled. This will consist of navigational sections; interspersed with competitive sections e.g. Motorkhana tests, Khanacross course, a lap of SEAC Park and anything else the directors can devise. This requires a 2S or 2SJ licence (not a rally licence), Roll over protection is not required although helmets must be used on the competitive sections. A fire extinguisher and first aid kit must be carried. This will be a daylight event on reasonable roads and a working odometer will be required. It is intended for this to be a fun competitive event and not an all out rally.
